Ingredients Required:
For Burger -
- 6 burger buns
- 6 tsp melted butter for brushing
For The Vegetable Cutlets -
- 1 1/2 cups chopped and boiled mixed vegetables
- 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
- 1 tsp lemon juice

- 2 tbsp cornflour
- salt to taste
- cornflour for rolling
- Oil for deep-frying
For Coleslaw -
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup grated carrot
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
For a Spread -
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
Additional ingredients:
- 6 lettuce leaves
- Cheese slices
- Cucumber slices
- tomato slices
- Sliced onion
- salt and for sprinkling
How to make?
For the vegetable cutlets -
- Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well and mash lightly.
- Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and roll each portion into a 75 mm. (3”) diameter round cutlet.
- Roll the cutlets in cornflour till they are evenly coated from all the sides.
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep-fry, 2 cutlets at a time, till they turn golden brown in colour from all sides. Drain on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
For the vegetable burger -
- Divide the coleslaw into 6 equal portions and keep aside.
- Cut each burger bun horizontally into two. Apply ½ tsp of butter on the insides of each half of the burger bun and toast them lightly on a tava (griddle).
- Apply a little spread on the buttered side of all the bun halves.
- Place the lower half of the burger bun on a clean, dry surface with the buttered side facing upwards.
- Place 1 lettuce leaf, a cutlet and 1 cheese slice over it.
- Now place a portion of the coleslaw over it, finally place 3 cucumber slices, 3 tomato slices, and 2 onion slices and sprinkle a little salt and pepper evenly over it.
- Cover it with the upper half of the burger bun with the buttered-spread side facing downwards and press it lightly.
- Serve the Indian-style vegetarian burger immediately.

- Add the tomatoes, tomato purée, tomato ketchup, sugar, chilli flakes and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Finally, add the dried oregano and basil and mix well.
- Remove the bay leaves and peppercorns and discard them.
- Divide the pizza sauce into 6 equal portions and keep aside.
For bread pizza -
