Easy Salads Recipes.

Greek salad.
Ingredients required:
For the dressing.
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • Himalayan pink Salt 
  • Black Pepper
For the salad.
  • 1 cup Iceberg lettuce, washed thoroughly and drained
  • 2 Tomatoes cut into chunks
  • 1 cucumber chopped
  • 1 Red onion sliced
  • 1/2 cup Kalmatta olives
  • 100 grams of Feta Cheese, crumbled
  • 2 sprig Parsley leaves(Product link)chopped
  • 1/2 cup Kalmatta olives
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
Steps for making.
  1. We begin making the Greek salad Recipe by washing the lettuce thoroughly and draining off any excess water. Tear them into bite-size pieces and keep them aside.
  2. Cut all the vegetables and keep them ready, add all the salad ingredients(lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion) except feta & olives into a large mixing bowl.
  3. In another bowl whisk in the dressing ingredients till it combines. Drizzle this on top of the salad mixture and give it a toss. Check for salt and pepper and add if required. 
  4. Serve the salad on a flat plate topped up with parsley leaves, some crumbled feta cheese and olives. 
Pasta salad.

Pasta salad is a creamy and satisfying dish that's perfect for warm weather days, picnics, or any occasion where you want to serve a tasty and easy-to-prepare dish.

Ingredients required:
  • 4 cup water
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp Himalayan pink salt
  • 1 cup wheat macaroni pasta
  • 4 tsp mayonnaise (eggless)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon juice or 2 tbsp lemon powder
  • ¼ onion (sliced) or ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ carrot (julienne)
  • ¼ capsicum (julienne)
  • 5 cherry tomatoes (halves)
  • 2 tbsp spring onion (chopped)
  • 1 tsp dill leaves / sabbasige soppu / soa (chopped)
Steps for making:
  1. Firstly, in a large saucepan boil 4 cup water along with 1 tsp oil and ¾ tsp salt.
  2. Once the water comes to a boil, add 1 cup of macaroni pasta.
  3. Boil for 8 minutes or till it turns al dente
  4. Drain off the pasta and pour a cup of cold water to stop the cooking process. keep aside.
  5. Now in a large bowl take 4 tsp eggless mayonnaise.
  6. Also, add ½ tsp black pepper, 1 tsp lemon juice or 2 tbsp lemon powder and ¼ tsp salt.
  7. Mix well and the salad dressing is ready.
  8. Now add ¼ onion, ½ carrot, ¼ capsicum, 5 cherry tomatoes and 2 tbsp spring onion.
  9. Also, add cooked macaroni.
  10. Churn
  11. Cover and rest in the refrigerator for an hour to absorb all the flavours.
  12. Finally, serve pasta salad/macaroni salad garnished with chopped dill leaves.
Fruit salad:

With a rich and silky custard base and a colourful array of fresh fruit, this dessert is sure to delight your taste buds and satisfy your sweet tooth. It is also popular by the name of fruit custard. Unlike other salads, this salad variety is relished as a dessert and not as a side dish to a meal. Because of its cooling and creamy experience, this is the summer perfect salad. 

Ingredients required:
For custard.
Fruits.
  • 10 or ¼ cups green grapes (chopped)
  • 10 or ¼ cups red grapes (chopped)
  • 1 small-sized or ¼ cup banana (chopped)
  • ¼ cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 small-sized or ¼ cup mango (chopped)
  • ½ medium-sized or ¼ cup apple (chopped)
Steps for making custard milk:
  1. Firstly, in a thick-bottomed pan add milk.
  2. Stir occasionally and get the milk to boil.
  3. Meanwhile, in a bowl take 2 tbsp of custard powder. You can pick any flavour of your choice. 
  4. And add 3-4 tbsp of milk and mix well.
  5. Stir continuously, making sure there are no lumps formed in it.
  6. Once the milk has boiled, turn off the flame and pour the prepared custard mixture into it.
  7. Also, add sugar. Adjust the amount of sugar if looking for sweeter fruit custard.
  8. Mix continuously, keeping the flame low.
  9. The milk changes colour to a brighter shade.
  10. Furthermore, it thickens slightly. Adjust the consistency by cooking for a long time.
  11. Transfer to a small bowl and cool completely.
Steps for making fruit salad.
  1. Once the prepared custard milk has cooled completely, add the chopped fruits of your choice.
  2. Add, green grapes, red grapes, banana, pomegranate seeds, mango and apple.
  3. Also, add cardamom powder and mix gently.
  4. Cover and chill for 2 hours or more.
  5. Once the custard fruit salad has chilled, it turns more thick and creamy.
  6. Add whipped cream or ice cream if required.
  7. Finally, serve fruit custard chilled.
Russian salad.

The Russian Salad stands out for its delightful flavour and texture, which come from the use of partially boiled vegetables instead of raw ones. It's important to avoid overcooking the vegetables when preparing the dish so that their vivid colours and crispness are preserved. Here’s a step-by-step recipe of preparing how to prepare Russian salad at home:

Ingredients required.
  • 2 cups chopped and parboiled mixed vegetables (carrot, french beans, potato and green peas)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped pineapple, optional
  • Himalayan pink salt taste
Steps for making.
  1. For preparing the Russian salad, we first need to chop the carrot, French beans, potato and green peas.
  2. Transfer into a deep bowl. 
  3. Add enough water. 
  4. Microwave on High for 6 to 8 minutes. 
  5. Drain using a strainer. 
  6. For preparing the Russian salad, transfer the vegetables to a deep bowl.
  7. Add the mayonnaise.
  8. Add the fresh cream. You can add a little mustard sauce if you like.
  9. At this stage you can add the pineapple if you wish to, it is optional.
  10. Add salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  11. Mix everything gently to coat all the vegetables well.
  12. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour and serve the Russian Salad (Veg Russian Salad) chilled.
